National Barbecue Association (NBBQA) Recognizes Locally Made Soggy Sandals
Rum Island Marinade & Grilling Sauce as “Award of Excellence” Winner

Roswell, GA – June 30, 2014. Soggy Sandals, Inc. has announced its award achievements from The National Barbecue Association (NBBQA) for two of their local products that were among the top winners in this year's NBBQA Awards of Excellence competition. Soggy Sandals™ Rum Island Guava-Jalapeno-Pineapple Rum Island Marinade-Grilling Sauce won third place and Soggy Sandals™ Rum Island Mango-Adobo Chipotle-Lime Rum Island Marinate-Grilling Sauce won fourth place. In addition, their label won fourth place for Best Label.

The awards were announced at the organization's annual conference held March 5-9 in San Marcos, Texas. "BBQ enthusiasts from all over the country come here to measure their products against their peers," said Roy Slicker, association president. "It's a competitive field with top-notch products, and a NBBQA Award of Excellence medal is quickly becoming one of the most coveted awards in the foodservice industry."

The annual competition recognizes the very best barbecue products across several industry categories, and the winners, representing 25 states and two Canadian provinces, were selected from among 533 total submissions.

He submitted them in the competition prior to the start of his marketing campaign knowing that if they won it certainly would not only be a terrific honor but also help promote the product.
